Kin 710 Myspace corrections
Social networking is the reality TV of the Internet. In other words it's everywhere. I have been a member of Myspace and Facebook for a few years now and it's interesting looking back seeing how much these two sites have changed and emerged in the past few years. I was disappointed in the articles mentioning of Myspace's lack of security. This article was written in Feb. of 2008 and had lot's of misinformation. The article states "A MySpace member’s page has its own URL, and anyone can view the page. An Internet user does not even need to be a MySpace member to browse the websites and view members’ pages. Few privacy settings are available to determine who can or can’t see pages." Here is the truth, yes Myspace members have their own URL but no anyone can not view their page. It is true that you can view other Myspacers pages without being a member that is also true for blogger.com, flickr and facebook. There are three privacy settings, you can show your page to anyone, show your page to your friends only or restrict certain content on your page like pictures, friends and comments. So for anyone who thought that myspace was a tell tell book it can be but then again it doesn't have to be.
